FIFA World Cup: Algeria vs. South Korea LIVE

Brazil was lucky to win its opener, shaking the confidence of some fans but not the opinion of oddsmakers who have them as huge favorites Tuesday against Mexico.

First place in Group A and a berth in the round of 16 goes to the winner on a day when Group H teams see their first action.

Mexico won their opening group match against Cameroon but sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com have host Brazil at 4-13 odds with Mexico as low as 7-1 and as high as 9-1. The draw line, which could be good value here, was roughly 5-1.

In the last 15 years, Mexico has beaten Brazil six times with the most recent win in the finals of the 2012 Olympics. So there is plenty of historical precedent to suggest the Mexicans can win.

Brazil v Mexico
Estadio Castelao, Fortaleza
Kick-off: 20.00 BST.
TV: BBC.
Brazil (Possible, 4-2-3-1): Cesar; Alves, Luiz, Silva, Marcelo; Gustavo, Paulinho; Hulk, Oscar, Neymar; Fred.
Test: Hulk (muscle strain).
Mexico (Possible, 5-3-2): Ochoa; Aguilar, Moreno, Marquez, Rodriguez, Layun; Guardado, Vazquez, Herrera; Dos Santos, Peralta

And Brazil was very fortunate with a couple of dubious calls that led to two goals while Mexico had two disallowed goals in their win. Will Brazil shake off the first-game jitters and hide their stride or are they in danger here?

Match Notes
The winner of Tuesday's match will be guaranteed a spot in the next round if Cameroon and Croatia draw their match on Wednesday in the jungle city of Manaus.
Having been helped by the referee in the opener against Croatia, Brazil will want to impress on there own.
Whether match-winner Neymar will be more cautious knowing a second booking would rule him out of the third game remains to be seen.
But the Mexicans have won big matches against Brazil before, beating them 4-3 in the final of the Confederations Cup in 1999 and more recently in the Olympic final in London.
Stat of the game: The 38 previous games between these teams have produced 107 goals. Brazil have won 22 and scored 71, with Mexico claiming just six victories but also netting 36 times.
John Ley's prediction: Brazil 2 Mexico 1.
